Work Smarter, Not Harder
Scripture:
“Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.” Ecclesiastes 10:10
Observation:
If you’re always in a hurry, always feeling rushed, or always feeling on the edge of burnout, you are likely doing things God doesn’t want you to do. A wise person doesn’t just work harder to try and push through the season they’re in; a wise person reevaluates and finds where they can adjust to work smarter.
Application:
To evaluate if you need to work smarter, ask yourself these questions:
1) What is required of me? At home, at work, etc.
2) What gives me the greatest return?
3) What gives me the greatest reward? What gives you the most fulfillment?
Prayer:
Jesus, I want to work smarter. Help me to play to the strengths you’ve given me and pursue the things that will be most fulfilling. I don’t want to burn out trying to do more than you’ve asked me to do. Help me to continue to make adjustments Lord. Amen.
