The Joy of Christmas

Scripture:

“These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:11

Observation:

Christ came to meet us in our sadness. Sometimes we aren’t even sure why, we just find ourselves sad. But Jesus came to bring us joy! He came so that we could have access to a joy that is only found in Him.

Application:

If you are feeling sad today, take some time to thank Jesus for the good things He’s placed in your life. Maybe even that is hard for you today; if that’s so, focus on the fact that YOU bring joy to God. He loves you even in your darkest moments.

Prayer:

Jesus I thank you for the joy that you brought to this world, and that you bring into my life. I receive your joy today. I thank you for all of the good things you’ve blessed me with, and I thank you for your love for me even when I’m down. Amen.
