Scripture:
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:1-4
Observation:
Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” When we dwell on scripture, when we remind ourselves of verses like the ones above, we are able to hide in Christ when life is overwhelming. When we remind ourselves who He is, we’re allowing ourselves to run to Him to find safety and peace.
Application:
When was the last time you memorized scripture? Practice that this week. Make an intentional effort to put specific verses before you, and dwell on them. Fill your mind with the Word of God and experience what it means to hide in Him!
Prayer:
God I choose today to dwell on your word. Remind me of scriptures in every situation I face. Amen.
