Peace Isn’t A Destination: It’s A Journey
Scripture:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
Observation:
Christ was our greatest gift, but He also knew our greatest needs. One of those great needs is our need for peace in a world filled with anxiety. Jesus came to bring us peace, and we have access to it every moment of every day. We just need to receive it.
Application:
How do you receive peace? You have to give God your troubles. If you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed, take a moment to pause and give Him what’s weighing you down. Stop and simply pray. Claim His peace and let Him take on your troubles. Receive His peace today!
Prayer:
Jesus, I’m feeling weighed down by __________. I surrender that to you because I can trust you. Fill me with your peace Lord, and relieve me of this weight I feel on my heart. Amen.
