Scripture:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Observation:

God gave us the greatest gift we will ever receive – His Son. All we have to do is believe and we receive His eternal life. 

Application:

Today as you open gifts, pause to remember the gift that Jesus gave by coming to the Earth. He chose to become a man so that He could know exactly what it’s like to go through the things that we go through, and so that He could give us the gift of freedom from sins and eternal life with Him.

Prayer:

Jesus, today I pause and say thank you for giving yourself for me. I give myself back to you today and I receive your gift, the greatest gift I will ever receive. Amen.
