Scripture:

Then Queen Esther answered, “If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if it pleases you, grant me my life—this is my petition. And spare my people—this is my request.’” Esther 7:3

Observation:

S – serve others sacrificially. Esther was willing to sacrifice herself for her people. She was willing to partner with God to save the Jewish people, and therefore got to participate in the blessing only found in serving others.

Application:

God likely would have saved the Jewish people even if Esther looked the other way. If she had let fear and self preservation stop her from trying to help. We often are given the same opportunities to serve and make a difference in the lives of others. What will you choose today?

Prayer:

Lord help me to see the opportunities around me to serve others. I want to be part of your plans to better the world around me. Help me to not be too wrapped up in myself or my own hesitations that I miss the chance to make a difference. Amen.
