How To Fail Forward
Scripture:
“Fear of man is a dangerous trap, but to trust in God means safety.” Proverbs 29:25
Observation:
There are a lot of things that can lead to failure. Not planning ahead, already thinking you’ve arrived, and being too afraid to take risks can all result in failure. We have to trust in God in order to give up the fear of failure. It’s scary to risk failure, and many of us dread what others will think of us. But we can find safety in trusting God with our futures.
Application:
God wants to help you move through failure and leave it behind. Take time to prayerfully plan ahead. Stay teachable, and ask for advice. Most importantly, don’t give up!
Prayer:
Lord, I trust you with my future. As I’m stepping into this new year, give me your wisdom as I start to plan. Help me to see the areas I need to adjust, the risks that you want me to take, and the places where I’ve let fear hold me back. I trust you Father, and I thank you for the good plans you already have in store for me for this year. Amen.
