Growing Your Faith

Scripture:

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

Observation:

A mustard seed seems almost insignificant because of how tiny it is, but it can grow into a great tree if it’s fed with the sunlight and water. No matter how small your faith may be right now, it can grow if you feed it the right things.

Application:

Are you feeding your faith the right things? Your faith may feel as small as a mustard seed right now, but it can’t grow if you’re feeding it doubt and negativity. Fill your life with the word of God. Let people who build you up speak into your life. Identify the things you watch or listen to that bring you down and limit your exposure to them. Small decisions you make today can have a significant impact on your faith!

Prayer:

Jesus, I want my faith to grow. Show me what I need to do to increase my faith. I want to see your incredible power work in and through my life, and I know I need faith for that to happen. Grow my faith Lord. Amen.
