Community Is Our Culture

Scripture:

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15

Observation:

God says in Genesis 2:18 that it is not good for man to be alone. God designed us for community. God wants to have relationship with us, and He also wants us to have healthy relationships with others.

Application:

You need people in your life to lift you up, encourage you, even inspire you. That’s why God wants you to be part of community, because it’s in healthy relationships where we grow the best and find the support that we need. Prayer:

Lord, thank you for wanting to have a relationship with me. Just as you model the importance of that kind of connection, help me to take the steps I need to build community in my life. Amen.
