Scripture:  

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21

Observation:

The tongue is an incredibly powerful tool. With it, you can speak death over your family, your friends, circumstances in your life. Or just like God demonstrated for us when He spoke life into existence in Genesis, you can choose to speak life. What are you speaking into existence in your life today?

Application:

Pause before you speak today. Take time to evaluate what the fruit of your words will be. Let’s choose to speak life today!

Prayer:

God, I ask that you help me to speak life today. Show me the areas of my life where my words are producing death. Remind me of the power my words have in my life and the lives of those around me. Set a guard in front of my mouth when my words won’t produce the right kind of fruit, and help me to bring life to my circumstances with my words. Amen!
