What Is Your Foundation Built On?

Scripture:

“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2

Observation:

What have you built your foundation on? If we build it on anything other than Jesus, it will fail. No man or thing is infallible. Only a foundation built on God will stand.

Application:

On this inauguration day, take a moment to examine your own foundations. Some are excited and hopeful about the presidential change; others are frustrated and angry. In either case, let us make sure that we have put our trust in the One who will not let us down – Jesus Christ. Let’s follow His example and be people who pray for the world, and leaders, around us.

Prayer:

Jesus, we give you our country. We know that our foundation is not built on a man, but on you. We thank you for the good plans that you have in store for our nation. We honor your word, and we life up President Biden and ask that you will bless him and lead him. Amen.
