Bankrupt Without Love

Scripture:

“If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love” 1 Corinthians 13:3

Observation:

Accomplishments don’t matter without love and relationships. When we come to the end of our lives, achievements and sacrifices don’t hold value. The thing that matters is if we loved God and people well, and if we invested in relationships with others.

Application:

Prayer:

Jesus, I don’t want to miss opportunities to build relationships. Show me where and how to invest my time. Bring healthy, uplifting friendships into my life. Teach me to be a great friend, and how to love those you’ve given me even better than I am now. Amen.
