Scripture: “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.” John 14:1

Observation: Troubled in the original Greek means: agitated, stirred up, disturbed. It’s easy to let our hearts become agitated and disturbed by the world around us, especially right now. Jesus’ simple challenge is this: Trust Him. Trust God, and let the assurance that He is in control bring peace to your heart.

Application: If you are agitated and troubled, spend some time today being still. Find some time to sit at the feet of Jesus and let him realign your heart on Him.

Prayer: Jesus I lay down __________ to you. I’m tired of feeling troubled. I need your peace Lord; refill me again today. Amen.
