Scripture:

The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.’” Genesis 12:1

Observation:

Abraham was old when God called him to leave the home that he knew and go to a new land. God didn’t tell him where he was going, just that He would show him. Abraham didn’t get to have all the details. All he had was the first step – Go! Abraham could have found every reason to delay or stay, but instead he took a huge leap of faith and obeyed God and went.

Application:

Don’t procrastinate obedience. If God is telling you to move, step out in faith and go!

Prayer:

God I don’t want to procrastinate obedience. I want to be a person of faith who follows quickly when you lead. Lord please show me the areas in my life where I may be holding back from walking in faith. I know that you will lead me, and I choose to follow you.
