Build Together

Scripture: 

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.  Proverbs 27:17

Observation: 

Two believers coming together to build relationships creates a sharpening dynamic within the friendship. God wants us to build one another up by holding one another accountable, being together in times of stress and joy, and pushing each other to remain close to God. 

Application: 

Who are those people in your life who believe in Jesus and push you to do better? Take time today to reach out to them and set something up so you can hang out and build the relationship. 

Prayer: 

Jesus, we thank you for being our dearest friend and for teaching us what being a true friend really means. Help us to live the way you did. We want to be a friend to all, just as you were, but we also want to be more intentional about pouring into those few close relationships you are calling us into. We look to you, God. Amen.
