Scripture:

“You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!” Luke 1:31-33

Observation:

God’s plan is more rewarding than our plans. No plan of Mary’s could have resulted in being the mother of God’s Son. God’s plans for Mary were bigger, harder, and far more rewarding than any she could have established for herself.

Application:

All God asks of us is that we believe and we trust. If you want to be like Mary, available and ready to follow God’s plan, surrender to the Lord today. His plans for you are far greater than anything you can imagine!

Prayer:

Lord I surrender to you. Lead me through this life you’ve given me. I want to be like Mary, willing to do your will even when it’s scary. I believe today that you have beautiful plans for my life, and I thank you for the purpose that you speak over me. Amen.
