Surrender

Scripture: 

“Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” Luke 23:46 (NIV)

Observation: 

Surrender is a choice – often made over and over again just throughout the course of a day!

Application: 

It’s so easy to let yourself take over your choices and actions. Life moves fast and we get drawn into the speed of it. Surrender on the other hand is a deliberate action we make to get off the hamster wheel and ask The Lord to define where we are going and at what pace we need to move. Or not. Maybe we are to be still. 

Prayer: 

Today – I choose to surrender, to be willing to move if you say so and be still if you say so. I surrender my life to you completely. It’s all yours anyway. Do as you want in and through me. There is no other way that I’d rather live. Amen!
