Scripture:

“Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman without discretion.” Proverbs 11:22

Observation:

It doesn’t matter what you wear on the outside if you haven’t put more work into what is inside. “Discretion” can also be translated as “wisdom” or “good judgement”. Are you using wisdom as to what you are emphasizing in your own life today?

Application:

Instead of focusing on what you wear on the outside, focus today on wearing the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Put emphasis on who you are and show Jesus to those around you.

Prayer:

Jesus, I choose today to focus on what you’re doing inside and through me instead of how I look on the outside. I want to represent you well to those around me. Help me to focus on the right things, and walk in the fullness of your Spirit today. Amen.
