Healing Power

Scripture: 

A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding and she could find no cure. Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped. Luke 8:43-44

Observation: 

The power of the Holy Spirit was so strong combined with the faith of the woman that simply touching the hem of Jesus healed her immediately. 

Application: 

When Jesus ascended into heaven, He came back to give us the gift of the Holy Spirit. The very same Holy Spirit that dwells within us. When we combine as the body of Christ, we can bring so much healing into this world. Let’s remember to remain in the body and in community with one another. We are stronger together. 

Prayer: 

Jesus, thank you for coming earthside to sacrifice yourself so that we may live with the Holy Spirit within us. What an amazing and priceless gift. We don’t deserve it yet you loved us enough to give it. Today, we come together in a community to do your will. May we be your eyes, ears, mouth, and body. In your name, Amen.
